ZINCAL® coated steel provides a superior alternative to galvanised steel.
The technique of coating steel with Aluminium and Zinc (55% Aluminium, 43.5% Zinc and 1.5% Silicon) has been extensively researched and surpasses the performance of traditional galvanised steel.

The coating on ZINCAL® protects the base in two ways:
1) The Aluminium coating component provides a tough physical barrier.
2)The zinc in the coating provides sacrificial protection and also protects the steel at the cut edges.

The superior corrosive property increases the life of the steel core up to four times longer than that of galvanised steel.
Care & Storage

Keep material dry at all times.

If coil is to be stored, it must be stored in a cool dry environment, with the protective packaging.

Regular maintenance of the material by washing with fresh clean water will extend the longevity of the product.

Washing should be done at least every 6 months and more frequently at the coast.

Fasteners & Accessories

All screws should have rubber sealing washings which should be free of carbon fillers.

Fasteners should be as durable as the roof sheeting. A minimum class 3 should be used for both ZincAL and COLORPLUS.

If an inferior class fastener is used, the replacement of the sheet will be at an earlier interval.

General Notes

Touch up paint is not recommended.

Never use abrasive or solvent type cleaners.

Don't use rough cleaning cloths, wire brushes or steel wool to clean the roof.

ZincAL and Colorplus are compatible with other materials such as aluminium, galvanised, or equivalent aluminium/zinc coated steel; however it is advisable to avoid mixing different types of material on one project to prevent the possibility of accelerated corrosion.
